There’s lots of good sea and river fishing available in the area. River fishing licences cost approx. 6€ per year for a regional licence and approx. 9€ a year for a national licence. You can get a license from any multibanco (cashpoint) – you will need to enter your ID number (passport or ID card) and fiscal number. Children under 14 don’t need a licence if accompanied by their parents.
Sea fishing licences can also be paid for at multibanco machines and the ticket kept for the licence period.
